3 Pumpkin-y Teas to Try as Lattes

What signals the change from summer to fall more than bright orange pumpkins? Pumpkin-flavored drinks! Earthy and delicious pumpkin-flavored drinks are our favorite signs of fall and winter. Fans of the milky richness found in café lattes will also enjoy a fantastic pumpkin tea latte as the weather cools down.

We have a pumpkin tea latte recipe for you to make at home, plus three great pumpkin teas to use as the main ingredient. You can completely customize your pumpkin tea latte into an exquisite treat with your milk of choice, plus honey or raw sugar.

Seasonal tea lattes are super easy to make. Tea lattes are very similar to traditional coffee-based drinks, but made with your favorite tea, brewed strong in place of coffee.

The most popular type of tea latte is a chai latte, a variant of traditional masala chai from India. Try our Chai Teas– we have eight different varieties to explore.

Or try these flavorful pumpkin teas and tisanes and make your next fall latte.

Pumpkin Rooibos

Rooibos melds perfectly with the distinctive tastes of ginger, mace and cream. Buckwheat, sweet potato and pumpkin seeds add a woody, savory flavor, while candied peanuts layer on a sweet, nutty note. The result is rich and satisfying, like a slice of warm pumpkin pie.

Roasted Pumpkin Yerba Mate

As the leaves fall, this cozy autumn black tea blend is waiting for you. Perfectly paired Indian black tea offers an exquisite base for the melody of spices like ginger, cardamom and clove. These are balanced with the sweetness of the cinnamon and the creaminess of the pumpkin.

Easy Steps to Make Tea Lattes

Here is an excellent recipe for a classic tea latte to enjoy on a chilly fall morning.

2 1/2 teaspoons Organic Pumpkin Spice Chai Black Tea (or your tea of choice)
1 of cup water
3 Tablespoons of your favorite milk
Optional: raw sugar, honey or another sweetener of your choice, to taste

Simmer milk and water in a small saucepan on medium heat until warm. Don’t let it boil. Steep your tea in the warm liquid for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. To create a foamy latte, use a small whisk or a milk frother to give it some air. Add raw sugar or honey to taste. Serve piping hot.

For a chilled beverage: Refrigerate the tea for an hour or so before serving it in an ice-filled glass.
