Decadent Chocolate Teas
Two words: Chocolate. Tea.
No surprise here… our two favorite things together in one cup. A perfect pair, chocolate brings out nuances in tea, and vice versa.
Our chocolate teas taste as decadent as your favorite chocolate dessert. All of the rich, delicious flavor, but not laden with sugar. The full range of dessert flavors is present — caramel creaminess, toasted vanilla, floral notes and chocolate, of course.
The beloved cocoa bean has been enjoyed for centuries. The history of chocolate can be traced to the ancient Mayans, where it was drunk as a bitter beverage, not a sweet treat. Chocolate is made from the large pods of cacao trees, native to South America. The beans, from inside the pods, are dried and roasted to create cocoa beans. Chocolate made it to Spain and its popularity spread from the Spanish court through the rest of Europe and to the American colonies.
Chocolate is enjoyed in many forms—the hot chocolate beverage, candy bars, countless desserts and hand-crafted chocolate is enjoying a resurgence with chocolate boutiques.
Our aromatic chocolate teas and tisanes are perfect to sip during the change of seasons and into winter. Add a splash of milk to make it creamy and even more indulgent.
