Cool off this summer with a refreshing, hydrating, and healthy beverage. That’s right, we’re talking about iced tea; not the store-bought bottled drinks or the kind you buy at a drive-thru. We’re talking about the delicous and inexpensive kind you can make at home. These iced teas are so good you’ll make them by the pitcher keeping the fridge stocked all summer long.
The sweet thing about the iced tea you make at home is the variety. Honestly, the options are endless. There are so many different types of tea and so many that are great on ice. You can have any variety of black, green, white, oolong, or herbal including any of their varieties. You can also mix in any ingredients you would like. You can combine tea varieties, if you know what you’re doing, and you can brew them in a variety of ways as well.
Two Ways to Brew
- Make a Tea Concentrate:
- Fill your pitcher with ice
- Once brewed, pour hot tea over ice
- Fill rest of pitcher with water
- Place tea in a pitcher of cold water
- Let sit in the fridge for 24 hours
- Strain the tea
- Enjoy
