How to Care for Your Teaware

Finding the perfect teaware is part of the experience.

“Water is the mother of tea, a teapot its father, and fire the teacher.”

– Chinese Proverb

Are you brewing more tea at home these days?  Or, are you looking for a just-right gift? Our wide selection of mugs, teapots, kettles and infusers are carefully chosen for their quality, durability and functionality. Large, loose leaves need room to expand to impart the most flavor.

Browse our tea must-haves, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea with close friends and family. We have well designed teaware that looks good and functions even better.

Teapots

A teapot’s mission is to offer a roomy place for steeping. And, of course, it needs to look good. Glass teapots are made to view the tea as the leaves open impeccably and the color deepening as it steeps. Stoneware, ceramic and porcelain teapots retain heat and look beautiful. Ceramic retains heat so it’s perfect to use to steep tea. Porcelain isn’t as absorbent, so it holds herbals and fruit teas nicely.

The colorful 40 ounce Teaz Stoneware Teapot with Infuser makes enough tea for the whole family. It boasts vibrant colors and classic, simple designs. This teapot includes a mesh strainer and lid. Simply add tea to strainer, pour hot water in and cover to steep.

“I love this teapot… instead of having to brew 1 or 2 cups individually several times a day, I’ll just make one pot in the morning and then drink it over the course of the day. The infuser is very easy to clean, and the teapot looks so pretty on my counter.”

Tea Mugs and Cups

Your cup should have a wide rim so the aromas reach you before you sip.  Pay attention to the size of your mug; a smaller one will keep the tea warmer longer. A cup or mug with a light interior color or one made of glass will help you visually enjoy the distinctive hues of your tea as well as the taste.

Our Porcelain Infuser Mug with Lid is a versatile mug to brew your favorite loose-leaf teas with ease at work or home. And, it includes a stainless steel infuser and a lid to keep your tea warm.

“I have used a lot of different tea infusers over the years, but this one is by far the best! It makes me want to brew another cup of tea.”

– Betsy

Infusers

Our infusers make the most of your favorite loose-leaf tea and are large enough to let the leaf fully expand.

The Silicone Tea Leaf Infuser features a truly fine mesh helps you to filter all types of tea, including super fine herbs that get through other tea balls or tea infusers. The large leaf handle makes it possible to fit cups of different sizes. It comes with a silicone coaster to place your infuser on when it is finished steeping to avoid drips.

We also have a great stainless steel tea basket infuser.

Kettles

This Whistling Tea Kettle is constructed out of quality stainless steel and holds up to 2.5 quarts of water. The stay-cool handle is soft to the touch. The kettle whistles to signal when your water is boiling. It is available in Metallic Blue and Metallic Red.

Tea Canisters

Tea Canisters keep your tea fresh for as long as possible. We offer a Small Tin and Medium Tin (select the size that keeps the tin fuller if possible, to minimize air exposure inside the canister). The locking lid keeps your tea airtight, and the UV blocking lid is clear so you can see your tea without it being damaged by light.
