Tea Roasted Nuts Recipe and DIY Gift Idea
Looking for a Thanksgiving dinner appetizer or gift idea? Stand out by serving tea roasted nuts, a tea-infused treat with a kick!
The earthy flavor of tea compliments roasted nuts, while maple syrup adds sweetness and red chili pepper adds spice:
Tea Roasted Nuts Recipe
1 cup raw cashews
1 cup raw almonds
1/2 cup shelled pistachios
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
3 teaspoons Keemun Mao Feng Organic Black Tea
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Mix the nuts with maple syrup. Add salt, chili powder and dry tea leaves. Toss with a spoon until the nuts are evenly coated.
Transfer and spread out the dressed nuts onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Separate the nuts out and give each nut enough space not to touch each other. Roast for 30 minutes, no need to stir or toss. Let cool completely. Eat right away, or place in an airtight container at room temperature for gifting. Enjoy within two weeks.
If you’d like a hint of smoke use Lapsang Souchong tea, or for added sweetness try Blackberry Maple Black Tea.
