Chai to Spice up Your Autumn Nights

Nothing warms you up in the fall months quite like a hot cup of tea, but when you add the warming spices of chai, you get a little something special. A traditional chai generally includes a high-quality black tea and quality spices like cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and cloves. We love a great traditional chai, but the world of chai is so much bigger than that. Checkout everything the world of chai has to offer.

Chai Tradition and Beyond

Masala Chai

This chai is the definition of tradition. Masala means “mixture of spice” and chai means tea. With organic black tea, green cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger, this chai gives you all the warm and fuzzy feelings especially when you prepare it as they do in India. Simmer equal part water and organic milk, add the tea, and simmer till brewed to strength you like.

Spiced Apple Chai

This is a twist on tradition with the addition of apple. It’s reminiscent of a spiced apple cider. It has sweet citrus flavors of orange and an apple sweetness that smooths out all of the flavorful spices of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. To add a little more creaminess, add some vanilla sugar which will help enhance the spice.

Turmeric Chai Black Tea

Turmeric is a traditional spice in Indian cuisine as well as in chai. Generally, traditional turmeric chai does not contain tea leaves. Our Turmeric Chai does along with the other traditional chai ingredients as well as the addition of whole chili peppers for a little more spice. Add a little milk and sugar to enhance all of the amazing flavors.
