DIY Tea Bath Salts for Gifts

DIY Green tea bath salts – easy gift ideas to share (or keep)

Looking for DIY gift ideas? These tea-centric bath salts make the perfect holiday hostess gift. DIY Green Tea bath salts are budget friendly and super simple to make.

Green tea’s antioxidants soothe the skin and are said to reduce inflammation and promote healing. And with a bit of aromatherapy, green tea bath salts are a comforting and relaxing addition to your down time.

These homemade tea bath salts are great for when you need a boost of energy or when you need to soak away sore muscles. Two of these bath salts call for essential oils; just make sure you find 100% pure oil. Peppermint essential oil is known for its properties that help relax sore muscles, and green tea is well known for its antioxidants.

Lavender Green Tea Bath Salts

Mix together and store in an air-tight container.

DIY Lavender Tea Bath Salts Recipe

Citrus Green Tea Bath Salts

1 cup Epsom salt

2 Tablespoons loose Lemon Meringue Green Tea

2 Tablespoons organic lemon, or lime peel, dried, (just the peel, no pith) and cut into short, thin strips

10 drops of grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, orange, or bergamot essential oil

Mix the salts, tea, dried peels, and essential oil together in a large bowl. Store in an air-tight container.

Peppermint Green Tea Bath Salts

3 cups Epsom salt

1 cup sea salt

3 Tablespoons loose Temple of Heaven Gunpowder Green Tea

4-6 drops peppermint essential oil

6-8 drops coconut or almond oil

Mix the salts, tea, and essential oil together in a large bowl. Store in an air-tight container.

How to use your tea bath salts

When ready for your bath, place 1/3 cup of the salts into Personal Tea Bags (use two in the tub). You can also use a large piece of cheesecloth and tie at the top to close.

For gifting, save glass jars or bottles, remove labels and reuse. Tie with a ribbon for added flourish.

Enjoy the aromas and relax in a hot bath!
