Sensational Japanese Sencha
Our Organic Sencha Japanese green tea is organically grown, picked, and steamed using traditional methods. We’re thrilled to support organic farmers whenever we find them and this wholesome, earthy, organic tea is a fantastic.
The rough, flat-ish leaves of this organic green tea hint at its wholesome, natural taste. The flavors present cover a wide span, both sweet and floral to earthy and nutty. It’s light, golden-green infusion may look simple, but it’s complex; there are notes of freshly cut wildflowers and toasted nuts in there. It’s well-balanced with some astringency and a refreshing “green” aroma.
A traditional Japanese method to try with this tea is a shorter steep (i.e. 1 minute) with water that has been slightly cooled after boiling. Another traditional tip is to warm your tea ware; it keeps your tea warmer longer and adds to the enjoyment of the routine of steeping tea.
After you’ve steeped the leaves a few times, you can eat them. Organic Sencha is perfectly paired with steamed veggies, and brown rice with tamari. Try them in a soup, stir fry, or scrambled egg dish.
This is a tea to be enjoyed at many levels!
