Tea Rituals

Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.”
― Charles Reade
If you want to change your life, start by changing your habits. Your everyday rituals establish the foundation of each day, which in turn shapes your weeks, months, and eventually the trajectory of your life. That’s why we held a tea rituals contest in August!
A daily tea ritual is a great way to set aside time for yourself. Even if you only take five or ten minutes a day, take time to brew up a cup of tea, reflect on your goals for the day or for the year, or simply relax and de-stress. With a simple ritual, you get re-energized to face whatever the day may bring!
Here are some of our favorite responses from the tea rituals contest (which we held on Facebook–if you haven’t already, be sure to “Like” our page!).
“My favorite tea ritual involves my daughter, who is 11. Every morning we choose one of your delicious hibiscus blends and brew up a half gallon with some berry stevia drops for sweetener. The kids love it because it tastes like kool-ade. I love it because it is refreshing in the summertime, they drink a bunch of it, and it has no sugar. I’d much rather have the family drink your hibiscus tea than sugary drinks and sodas!”
— Charlotte H. (Contest Winner!)
“My ritual takes place every evening. After a long day at work I come home and make myself a nice cup of tea. No TV, no phone, no interaction until after my tea is finished. It helps me balance work and home by decompressing from my day.”
— Terrey R.
“My favorite tea memories are from when I lived in India. Every morning, I would be awoken by my landlady bringing me a tiny cup of milky tea infused with cardamom. Every afternoon at work, I would gather with my drug rehabilitation patients and fellow counselors, and we’d all sip our tea and pass around sweet snacks.
My favorites from Fusion Teas are undoubtedly the flavored Yerba Mates. The BEST chocolate flavors are in these teas!! Plus, now I’ve got my coworkers hooked on them too, and sometimes we’ll even share!”
— Bree W.
“Our favorite tea ritual is brewing some Pineapple Paradise in our cold tea brewer. Sitting on the patio grilling and chilling!”
— Ali B.
“My tea ritual began with sipping tea with honey and cream with my grandma as a little girl. She’s since passed but it’s one of these special, daily things I enjoy doing; it always makes me feel closer to her.”
— Judy C.
“I enjoy brewing [tea] in my loose leaf thermal cup and sipping it at work. The Yerba Mate keeps me on top of my game. It also allows for mini vacations from the grind.”
