The Best Tea for a Sore Throat

While a sore throat can occur suddenly and for what seems to be no reason at all, they generally tend to accompany a cold or flu. And, while cold and flu season happens to be the time of year when these symptoms occur the most, viruses of this sort can be spread all year long.

I bet if you were to ask the majority of Americans who don’t usually drink tea what they drink when they are experiencing a cold, flu, or sore throat, they would say water or tea. It makes sense. We tend to neglect healthier options until we find ourselves in an unhealthy situation.

Tea is probably the most cited source of sore throat comfort since it is warm, soothing, healing in nature, and just so happens to taste great. Tea also has anti-inflammatory properties which can help reduce the swelling of a sore throat.

Let’s take a look at a few tea options and see which tea is best for soothing that inflamed pharynx.
