Peach Tea Recipes
Peach tea has long been one of the most popular types of iced tea out there. Combining the ever-popular Southern sweet tea with the nation’s best peaches (those from the Southeast), peach tea is a match made in heaven (or in Dixie… we’re not quite sure which).
So it’s no surprise that our peach teas are amongst our best sellers. We love the bold flavor of our Ginger Darjeeling Peach, the subtle peachy notes found in our Organic Cloud & Mist Green Tea and the strawberry-peach wine notes of our Red Vineyard just as much as you do.
But we hope that these three peach tea recipes surprise you at least a little, and delight you at least a lot.
August Peach
4 tbsp. August Peach Oolong
2 cups cold water
2 tbsp. local honey
1 fresh peach
2 cups ice
4 sprigs fresh mint
Steep oolong in cold water for four hours to overnight, refrigerated. Strain out the tealeaves. Mix the honey with the tea. Pour into four glasses. Slice peaches and divide evenly amongst glasses. Add ice and mint garnish.
Peaches & Cream
3 tbsp. Peach Hibiscus Fruit Tisane
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp. honey or sugar
1 cup ice
2 tbsp. heavy cream or half-and-half
Steep the herbal blend in boiling water for eight minutes. Strain. Add sweetener and ice. Pour the mixture into two tall glasses. Drizzle cream over the back of a spoon, into each glass. Enjoy immediately.
Immortal Peach
2 tsp. Organic Cloud & Mist Green Tea (which hails from China, where the peach symbolizes immortality)
1 cup cold water
Combine and brew (refrigerated) for four to eight hours. Strain out the leaves. Drink it cold, and drink to your health.
