Pure “Detox” Teas for the New Year
What’s the answer to the annual New Year’s Resolution dilemma? It’s hard to stick to those best scenarios we set for ourselves. What do we recommend to start the year off right? Pure teas. We recommend creating an enjoyable habit around your goal to make it easier (and more fun) to stick with.
If one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to eat cleaner and healthier, then we recommend you start by replacing sugary, high-calorie drinks with pure tea. It’s an easy and even a delightful way to make a change for the better.
We have many exquisite white, green, oolong, and black teas that taste best straight, without any milk, lemon or sugar. Pure flavors like these are great for inspiring focus and clarity in your daily routine. If a “detox” of sorts is what you’re looking for these teas can be helpful for that too. Here are a few of our favorites:
Silver Needle White Tea is made exclusively with the new, tender buds of the tea plant, rather than mature tea leaves. The result is a delicate tea with silver downy leaves and a sublimely smooth flavor.
Try Sencha Supreme for a pure Japanese green tea that offers a soft vegetal, broth-like aroma with hints of fresh ocean air in its infusion. (We have organic Sencha Supreme as well.)
Oriental Beauty is a classic Taiwanese oolong with rainbow-hued leaves that yield a complex, smooth, muscatel cup. Its honey-ed notes are slightly fruity and sweet.
Darjeeling is the “Champagne of teas.” Our organic Sungma Estate Darjeeling is more delicate than most black teas with clean, bright notes of muscat grape and a subtle complexity in the cup
For a black tea as equally pure, but more robust, try an Assam. Assam teas are prized for their powerful, malty flavors. Our single-estate Assam tea delivers with a deep, bittersweet, malt-heavy aroma and flavor, balanced with slight hints of spice and fruit.
Reboot Your System
Pure teas are the perfect way to reboot your system, mentally and physically. With no added ingredients of any kind, each of our pure teas lets you dive deep into the complex flavors found in the simple tea leaf.
