Very Berry Hibiscus: Full of Fruity Flavor
The hibiscus flower, in all its vibrant beauty, make the plant very appealing. Hibiscus has long been used in the Caribbean as a favorite base for infusions and fruit tisanes. Not only is it beautiful and flavorful, but it is thought to be a natural way to promote heart health. Our fruit tisanes are pure, all natural and easy to prepare. And, because there is no tannin, you can’t oversteep them and you don’t have to worry about a bitter after taste. Tisanes contain vitamins to help protect the skin from free radical damage, and are believed to support the immune system, and help remove toxins from the body.
The intense color of Very Berry Hibiscus draws you in and the lush aroma invites you to sip.
Flavorful and strong, the infusion is very berry forward. The medley of elderberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries (the raspberries step to the front) is vivid and sweet and is rounded out by subtle apple and tart rose hip peel. There is a creaminess that is reminiscent of a berry cobbler that blends well with a bit of tartness and sweet juiciness off the berries.
It’s delicious iced. You can brew it double strength to make a powerful, quality iced tea. Add a little sparkling water for an extra zing and pour over ice. See our Hibiscus Sparkler cocktail recipe here. Or for a creamy, decadent treat try our Hibiscus Coconut Milk Pink Bliss iced tea.
